Welcome to our class! 

Our teacher is Mr Gutierrez and our teaching assistants are Mrs Neil and Mrs Phillips. Together we make up a friendly, hardworking and safe class while we have fun and make new friends. 

Every day is busy – full of a wide variety of lessons, subjects and independent learning. Our day starts with phonics, where we learn and practice the sounds that we then apply in both reading and writing in our English lessons. During our English lessons, we learn about stories, poems and non-fiction texts, and have a go at writing. 

Before break time, we have snack time when we share a range of books as a class while we enjoy our healthy snacks. After break, we use our number skills and problem solving skills in our maths lessons. During the afternoons, we are lucky enough to have specialist teacher who teach us in some areas of the curriculum. We learn history, geography, science, computing, art, life skills, outdoor learning, RE and French. On Thursday mornings, we are taught dance by Claire, drama by Carrie and music by Mr Morley. These sessions help us develop our confidence for performing in front of an audience. We also have a wonderful time playing in the garden. During playtimes and lunchtimes, we can use the climbing frame, mud kitchen and all the different outdoor resources.
