2/3 AH

Hello, and a very warm welcome from the Year 2/3 AH class webpage.

It is a joy for Mr Hardacre to be the class teacher and for Ms Thomas to also be here to help us learn and achieve our best. We are such a kind, caring and energetic class. We also seize the opportunity to be helpful and to spot the good things that each other does.

For English and Maths, some of us stay in this class with Mr Hardacre while others move to a different classroom with Ms Bowskill or Mr Cooper and enjoy working with children from the other classes.

• “I like school because I get to try new things.” – Olivia

• “I like school because I see my friends and all the teachers.” – Joey

On most afternoons, we are lucky enough to be taught by many specialist teachers.

• “I like the afternoons because of all the fun things we do like PE and art.” – Kori

On Mondays, we have Science or French lessons. In our Science lessons, we are taught by Mr Hardacre, Mr Cooper, Ms Kirby and Madame Bastable. It’s super fun and exciting! C’est magnifique!

On Tuesday afternoons, the Year Two children learn how to play the violins and the Year Three children learn how to play guitars. We love learning new songs on our instruments! We also have Computing with Mr Hardacre where we learn lots about internet safety as well as improving our ICT skills. We also have Life Skills lessons with Ms Kirby where we learn about how the world works and how to be the best “me” we can be.

Our Wednesday afternoons consist of PE and RE! We have several PE specialists and our head of PE Ms Lane help us learn amazing skills and new sports. Ms Rowden helps teach us all about the core values of our School and how different religions celebrate differently and to respect everyone around us.

On Thursday afternoons, Miss Bowskill teaches us Geography and History or we practice our amazing artistic skills with Mrs Lockhart.

• “Maths is my favourite subject because we learn about lots of different things” - Nettie

Every Friday morning, we have Drama with Carrie, Dance with Claire, and Music with Mr Morley. We always try our best when we are working with them and are developing valuable skills. Hopefully we will be able to showcase these to you over the year in school productions, concerts and assemblies.

We are so very lucky to be able to learn so many things! But best of all, we get to do it together…  as a fun and caring class!

We all truly love being part of this class and our school. What an exciting year we have ahead!
