Welcome to our Nursery class! Our teachers are Miss Dorey and Mrs Urquhart. Our teaching assistants are Mrs. Cordell and Mrs Bennett.
We love to come to school to have fun, make friends and learn. The adults that work with us ensure that everything we do is exciting and engaging. We spend every morning in the Nursery exploring different activities that cover all aspects of the seven areas of learning. We love to spend as much time as possible in the garden becoming familiar with our natural environment. In the garden we also have lots of bikes, cars and scooters. We enjoy going out on local walks and exploring the outside area.
Some of the activities we particularly enjoy are using playdough, painting, crafting, counting objects and mark making. We also lovely our daily stories, singing nursery rhymes and dancing!
It is important that we all learn to respect each other and share our resources. The adults help us to do this and we love receiving praise when we are successful. We love our carpet time where we have time to share our thoughts and ideas with the whole class if we would like to, and most of us do!
We enjoy exploring different topics such as Marvellous Me, Wacky Weather and Awesome Animals.
Miss Dorey loves it when we have ideas that prompt our own learning, often we begin talking about things or are interested in certain topics and they use these discussions to focus our learning for the rest of the week.
