Welcome to Overture class!
Our teacher is Ms. Dobashi. We are a kind, thoughtful class who love to learn.
We come into the classroom to calm music while we independently put our belongings in the cloakroom. Our first activity is writing: we learn how to spell key words linked to our English for the week. After the register, we go to Collective Worship.
After Collective Worship, we have phonics sessions. Next, during our English lessons, we explore stories, poems and non-fiction texts. We work incredibly hard on our writing, learning to generate our own ideas and record them ourselves.
Before break time, we enjoy our healthy snacks. After outdoor play, we have maths lessons during which we develop our number and problem-solving skills. On Tuesdays, we have French with Madame Bastable.
In the afternoons, specialist teachers teach us a range of subjects such as history, geography, science, computing, art, life skills, outdoor learning, RE, French and Japanese.
On Monday afternoons, we enjoy our active PE sessions. On busy Friday mornings, we are taught dance by Claire, drama by Samantha and music by Mr. Morley.
Thank you for reading about our hard-working class!
