Thank you for visiting Bolero Class’s webpage. Miss Read is our teacher and we would like to tell you a bit about ourselves in Year 2 and Year 3.
It would be impossible to describe our fantastic class in just one word but here are some of the words we feel represent us! Some of the most important words to us were the school values: love, faith, joy, hope, peace, trust, respect, and integrity. We look at one of these each week in our class assembly, we discuss how the value might look, sound and feel. We pair these values with our learning about spirituality and see how the values are portrayed in The Bible. It is a special and calm ending to our week.
Every day, we go into our maths and English groups with the other 2/3 teachers, Mr Cooper and Mrs Hearn.
“I like English because it helps me get better handwriting.” – Alfie
“I enjoy Maths because I get to work out different problems in my book”- Paige
One of the most amazing things about our school is that we get to work with many other teachers who are specialists in their subjects. We receive French lessons from Mrs Bastable, and an art lessons from Mrs Lockhart.
“We get to make different things in art and it is very fun!” – Rosie-Ann
“I like art because Mrs Lockhart makes the lessons super fun and we get to sculpt things” – Luna
In addition, we have fortnightly computing lessons with Mrs Hearn. Most of these sessions take place on iPads, which also allow us to practise our times tables and spellings using dedicated apps.
Every Thursday morning, we complete a full gamut of performing arts, including drama with Sam, dance with Claire and music with Mr Morley.
“I like PE because we get to do lots of different activities like football, rugby and gymnastics!” - Liam
We are all looking forward to this exciting year ahead with all the adventures it holds.
Thank you for reading about our class!
