Welcome to the class webpage of 2/3 Waltz.
This is Mr Cooper’s class and we’d love to tell you a bit about how we are finding life in our class.
Working together, we’ve come up with some adjectives and thoughts to help describe the kind of class we want to be. First off, we want to be known as a friendly and enthusiastic class, one that’s always exciting. We always want to do our best, and we know that this takes perseverance – which means we keep on going even when things seem tricky! Something else that’s important to know about our class is it’s wonderful and welcoming.
However, we don’t just hang out with the children in our class – every day we go to our maths and English groups, which are also taught by Miss Read and Mrs Hearn.
“Mrs Hearn is really good at getting the right level of challenge for all of us” – Oskar
Our school is particularly special because we also get to work with lots of other teachers, who are experts at loads of different things. Every two weeks, we take part in an art lesson with Mrs Yendley and we also get weekly French lessons from Madame Bastable.
“Mrs Yendley really thinks about the art we are looking at and tells us what to do step-by-step” – Harper
On top of that, we have fortnightly computing lessons with Mrs Hearn. Most of these sessions take place on iPads, which also allow us to practise our times tables and spellings using dedicated apps. Every Thursday morning, we have tuition in the performing arts, including drama with Carrie, dance with Claire and music with Mr Morley. Elsewhere, we have a dedicated PE teacher in the form of Mrs Carvill, who is often supported by a range of expert coaches.
“Mr Morley has taught us loads of new musical words, like adagio,” – Jesse
“There is always something new in drama and dance” - Razan
We’re all confident that if we carry on working hard and looking after each other, this will be a great year for everyone in class Waltz.
Thanks for stopping by!
