Each year, about 160 boys are admitted to the School, the majority in the September following their 13th birthday. We look for boys who are enthusiastic; who will make the most of opportunities offered at Harrow; who are talented in their academic studies, or in sport, the arts or another activity; and who have the potential to show great leadership. The School also admits up to 20 boys, normally aged 16, into the Sixth Form (Year 12) each year. A suitable applicant is likely to be predicted at least seven or eight passes at GCSE (or equivalent) to grade A*/A standard and to be someone who will make a significant contribution to life at the School. We offer significant financial support to eligible applicants in the form of scholarships and bursaries. Please browse our Admissions pages for more details on each of these entry points.
